You prob seen this poster/booth up in town..
Was involved in this esplanade project.
Not really abt the countdown, but more
on the wishing sphere.

Esplanade organized a few sessions where volunteers wld head
to different destinations over a week to bring
these spheres down to the less privileged
so that they can pen down their wishes and hopes
for the new yr, and be more of less, involved in the event too..


I thought the Esplanade team was really thoughtful..
They even went to the extend of chartering
a bus to ferry these elderly
to Esplanade, either tml or on Wed,
so that they can be a part of this event too..


We mingled with the elderly and get them to share their
hopes and wishes..

One conversation with a cute elderly uncle,
he secretly asked me after signing the sphere:

Uncle: You are bringing us out?
Me: No, uncle not me. It's the Esplanade team.
They will bring you to Marina Bay to see yr 'sphere'
that will be released in the water.
Uncle: Ohh~ See the sphere!
*Hesitated for a while*
So is there food??


hahas.. So innocent and practical..

It was nice seeing volunteers beside us, who
were there to help out.. These volunteers
also wrote wishes for the elderly and themselves..


I cant help thinking how they were feel when they see their spheres out
in the open water..


When we were abt to leave, the cute
uncle bid goodbye to me and told my in-charge that
这个最漂亮!

Then we headed over to Canossaville Home
and got the little ones to wrote down their wishes..

I was attached to a group with 7-9 yrs old..
hahas.. And these innocence souls wrote predictable stuff like

- Get Gd results
- Go for holiday
- Get DS
- Get a phone
- Get a pet

Felt contented.. :)
Not to mention tt I've met these cute little
kind souls too.. :)
