A Blissful Day
♥
Not every day, we get to enjoy life,
sit in a cafe and watch the world passed by.
For me, it’s like a treat.
I reckon the opportunity to chill like that will be
greatly minimized after school terms starts
and when I officially graduate and start work.

I sat in the cafe and watched people passed by;
looking at how the rain pours down; reading my book;
listening to good music; and reflecting on my life, with a cuppa.
Funny, how females can multi-tasks?
Yeah, I was penning down some things
and thoughts in my all-time favourite cafe today.
Watching different scenarios unfolded before me.
Like, I met one of the crew members whom
I have worked with for a short film.
Brought back all the fun and funny moments.
Hahas.. I should find the movie and watched it over again.
There’s another event that was truly meaningful for me.
This man prob in his late fifties or sixties passed by me twice.
The first time he came by, he parked his trolley ‘beside’ me,
smiling while eating his pocky, shuffle some stuff and went off.
After a short while, he turned back and parked his trolley near
the cafe’s door and started to search for his stuff.
Apparently he was searching for his water bottle.
His trolley is full of interesting content.
I secretly snapped a picture, :P
when the man came into the cafe handling
his bottle out asking the staff for water.

Though the content is really interesting,
but the main issue in not about the trolley.
It was about how the staff in the cafe treated the old man,
they totally ignored his pleas for water.
After the man left the cafe, they started talking about him,
though I didn’t manage to catch what they said.
Unethical!
But interestingly, this old man did not make things
difficult for the staff. Still smiling,
he kept his water bottle and move off.
Choked with words and thoughts.
At this perfect timing,
this short encounter actually taught me something about life.
When the situation is not in our favour,
why kick a big fuss or sit down like a baby and whine?
Where we can actually shake the negativity or leave the burden aside,
with a hopeful and positive mindset,
we can move on to more promising journey ahead of us.
In short, don’t be easily defeated by the different challenges,
embrace it positively
Though I did feel a little sad
that I didn’t help that old man though I had the impulse to.
Anyway December is a month of Giving –
sharing your love/wealth/luck/blessing with others.
I decided that I'll try to do one meaningful deed each day.
After chilling in the cafe waiting for the rain to stop,
I make the decision to go HSA to donate blood.
I already had the intention to donate blood this month,
but decided to just go ahead with it today.

After travelling all the way there,
can’t donate blood. Apparently because I just
recovered from the cold and I was told I have to wait for another week.
It’s ok, I still have some free days
without plans yet for the next few weeks:)
