F1 Rocks Concert ♥

24th Sept 2009

Had a Stats revision after class with the girls..

And since WF was ard my sch,

got a free ride home and an ice cream treat..

And since it was his birthday too,

got a cake for him and another for liang..

Forgot to mention tt I've know 3 others

who had their birthday on this day..

They do have some common traits but overall

their personality is rather different..

Anyway got home, bathed and rush down to meet liang for

the F1 ROcks..

We went for dinner and head to Fort Canning..

Since the tix didnt state the entrance, we tried our luck

and ended down walking a bigger round to get to the

entrance, in my high wedges, in an attempt to be taller

so that I dont get block..

The concert began shortly after we arrived with

Band - Da Mouth..

this band played and sang quite nice songs esp

永遠在身邊 & 愛的宣言

The sound system was good and everyone got into the mood..

The next band - SodaGreen.

Didnt heard of them before, but heard their songs before..

I felt that their lead singer sounds... pretty funny..

perhaps I didnt know how to appreciate his 'good voice..

Halfway thru their performance, the sound system went awry

and kind of dampened the atmosphere by a little..

The lead singer was kinda lost then..

The sound engineer send them off-stage to fix the faulty

sound system

and within a minute or two, they were back again with their gigs..

Next was A-Mei, it takes awhile for the sound engineer

to realize tt we couldnt hear her sing at all..

Am glad tt finally in the second or third song, they

adjusted the sound system..

She did manage to make the atmosphere very high

with all the power-packed songs..

The last solo gig of the day, also, the artiste

with the most fans - Jacky Cheung..

We waited for 45minutes for his appearance, due to the faulty

sound system yet again..

We were just basically waiting and nobody, not even the hosts

came out to mention anything..

And finally he appeared after close to an hr of waiting

with his 'ah-pek' look..

Apparently his stylist was trying to make him looked 'rock'

anyway he apologized even though it was no fault of his..

He was no doubt the king of PoP,

the crowd got back to the mood when he appeared!

And who say he cant dance?

Indeed he cant, lols he was just running ard the stage not to

miss any corner.

I thought tt was very professional..

Although I barely knew a song that he sang..

I was just waiting for him to sing Wen Bie (the only song I know) Lols

And indeed he really sung it, in the most upbeat and rock way..

*touched*

We thought he was going to end his gigs when he invited

a-mei for duet performance!!

Super high!!

And the gig ended with the performance singing

to MJ - Heal the World..

Not to mention tt I've saw my ex-colleague and some

celebrity bloggers there.. :))
